Treatment of fractures of the hand and forearm Through cooperation and membership in the Association for the Study of Internal Fixation (AO (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Osteosynthesefragen)) the opportunity exists to play a part in furthering the development of implants, instruments and modern osteosynthesis techniques. Surgeons and hand surgeons can receive training in modern osteosynthesis techniques for the hand and forearm by taking part in the AO hand courses (AO - Handkursen) Guest physicians (AO - Gastärzte) from around the world have come to Freiburg (1990 - 1992 University Hospital Surgery Department, since1993 Center for Diagnosis and Out-patient Surgery in Freiburg) to take part in these courses.. |
